Treatment & Services

IUI

IUI, or intrauterine insemination, is a relatively simple fertility treatment. It may be done with or without fertility drugs. The procedure involves transferring specially washed semen directly into the uterus via a specially designed catheter. The goal of IUI is to increase the number of motile sperms that reach the fallopian tubes and subsequently increase the chance of fertilization.

IVF

Just as there are reasons IUI may be successful for a couple having difficulty conceiving, there are also reasons why IUI may not be effective in treating fertility. These conditions include women who have severely diseased Fallopian tubes or a history of moderate to severe endometriosis, where uterine tissue grows outside the uterus. These conditions affect an egg’s ability to reach the uterus. As a result, IUI would not be effective because only the semen would be present in the uterus, not the egg.

ICSI

ICSI is the most successful form of treatment for male factor infertility and is used in nearly half of all IVF treatments. In ICSI a sperm is directly injected into each egg that is collected. The fertilized egg (embryo) is then transferred to your uterus.

IMSI, Embryoscope

  • Embryo monitoring basically comprises of equipment which allow embryologists to record the development of the embryos inside at timed intervals..
  • Without the embryo monitoring equipment embryologists are still able to view and record the embryo’s development. However, these activities will be undertaken at longer intervals, and information relating to exactly when the embryo actually divided will be missing.
  • Also, it is necessary to remove the embryos from the incubator in order to inspect them. This in turn exposes them to a change in temperature and humidity which is not ideal.

Vitrification 5

but a microdissecting microscope is used to pinpoint the tissue to be removed. This aims to cause less damage to the structure inside the testicle, and to therefore have fewer after effects such as blood supply problems caused by tiny blood vessels being cut. It also appears to increase the number of sperms that can be retrieved.

Oocyte donation

Oocyte freezing or Egg freezing or Oocyte vitrification or Oocyte cryopreservation, is a method used to preserve the reproductive potential in women. Eggs are harvested from your ovaries, frozen unfertilized and stored for later use. A frozen egg can be thawed, combined with sperm in a lab and fertized to form an embryo , which can then be transferred into your uterus.

Surrogacy

but a microdissecting microscope is used to pinpoint the tissue to be removed. This aims to cause less damage to the structure inside the testicle, and to therefore have fewer after effects such as blood supply problems caused by tiny blood vessels being cut. It also appears to increase the number of sperms that can be retrieved.
